Features in this version.
Automatically corrects misspelled words written with a low-case letter instead of upper-case letter (baum -> Baum). Recognizes the difference between "aufheben -Aufheben", etc.
Automatically corrects misspelled words containing Umlaut (Atemubung -> Atemübung).
Looks for agreement in number between two words within the sentence and automatically corrects the word (s) not agreeing in number (zwei Frau -> zwei Frauen). Therefore, corrects also all irregular nouns, such as "Loch -> Löcher", "Hammer - Hämmer", "Apfel -> Äpfel", "Haus -> Häuser", etc., if used in singular instead in plural. There are 5,191 nouns with irregular plural forms in a vocabulary of 200,000 German words. Some make their plural with an Umlaut, others make it by adding “-s” at the end of the word. A small number of words make their plural in another way. A short list of the most frequent plural forms made with an Umlaut is provided below. This list shows how important it is to have a software program that can automatically give you the correct plural form, and not only that!
Looks for agreement between an article and a noun and automatically corrects the word(s) not agreeing in gender and case. For example "das Mann -> der Mann", "die Kind -> das Kind or die Kinder (if in plural), etc., depending on gender and case.
Looks for agreement between an Adjective and a Noun and automatically corrects the word(s) not agreeing in gender and case.
The meaning of many separable verbs depends on the preposition they are used with, for example, bringen (bringen ... ab = ausreden, bringen ... bei = schulen, bringen ... um = töten, rufen ... ab = zurücknehmen, rufen ... auf = zusammenrufen, rufen ... wach = erwecken, rufen ... an = telefonieren, etc.). The software program translates these words depending on their meaning, in context.
Corrects the wrong use of the auxiliary verbs "sein" and "haben" with the past participle (some participles are used only with “haben”, others only with “sein*).
Looks for agreement between an Auxiliary Verb (sein or haben) and the Past Participle, irregular form. If one writes, for example, "er hat abbinden", the program will automatically correct it and translate "er hat abgebunden".
Automatically corrects the word if it has a new spelling, after the last spelling reform.
